Austrian Postal Service also sorting with the Interroll Crossbelt Sorter

The Interroll Crossbelt Sorter has recently been employed by the Austrian Postal Service for the rapid distribution of parcels. In Vienna's Parcel Centre, 5000 units per hour are now effectively assigned by Interroll Automation's efficient sorter, with its robust mechanical design, to their destinations throughout Austria.

Crossbelt carriers, measuring 600 x 800mm, sort the boxes weighing between 100g and 31.5kg and up to 1000 x 600 x 600mm in size at a velocity of 1.4 metres per second and allocate them to their destinations via 90 exit chutes.

The company responsible for system integration was Budde Fördertechnik.
The Interroll Crossbelt Sorter is either in use or planned for use in many postal services worldwide, including:
German Post, Swiss Post, British Royal Mail, Itella Finland, Russian Post
